animal reiki

Welcome animal lover,

Animal Reiki is a holistic healing practice that involves channeling healing energy to animals through the hands. It is based on the principles of traditional Reiki, which is a Japanese form of energy healing that aims to balance the body's energy centers and promote overall well-being.

Animals are much more sensitive to energy than we humans are.
They are also closer to the earth and retain energetic wisdom that we have forgotten. We can learn so much from our animals especially unconditional love, gratitude & compassion.

The Medicine

Animal Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy alongside traditional veterinary care, and it can be beneficial for a wide range of animals, including domestic pets, farm animals, and wildlife. It is a therapy that can help to support an animal's overall health and well-being.

Universal or divine energy IS Reiki and we are truly lucky to be able to take this journey of learning about ourselves in Reiki practice. Why are so many animal lovers drawn to learn Reiki? It is because animals resonate at a higher vibration than humans, and they attract us into their lives so that we may learn and heal as they offer us their unconditional love.

As in humans, there is no control of the Reiki. Reiki is intelligent energy that goes where it is needed. Reiki will heal the oldest traumas first, removing the manifestations of the disease by its roots. For chronic conditions that are the product of time, multiple sessions may be required.

"ASK" THE ANIMAL'S PERMISSION

As in humans, Reiki can only be performed on animals with their permission. Offer the Reiki, and then respect the animals wishes as to whether or not they choose to accept healing - if they doen’t want it, they may get up and walk away, change positions as if trying to avoid your hands, or give you a funny look or vocalization. However, many animals love Reiki, and after a session, they'll often come to you for more when they need relaxation or healing.

Reiki can be practiced directly with the animal present or at a distance, even many miles or countries away. Because Reiki can flow in this fashion, it is ideal for some animals that do not wish for direct contact or hands-on treatment, but still want to benefit from the healing energy.

The average length of a Reiki treatment is 30-60 minutes.

the benefits

Animal Reiki can offer numerous benefits for your pet, including:

Reducing stress and anxiety:

Many animals, particularly those who have experienced trauma or are in unfamiliar surroundings, can benefit from the calming effects of Animal Reiki. This can help to reduce stress and anxiety levels, which can contribute to better physical and emotional health.

Promoting healing:

Animal Reiki can stimulate the body's natural healing processes, which can help to speed up recovery from illness or injury. It can also promote overall physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Strengthening the bond between pet and owner:

Practicing Animal Reiki with your pet can help to deepen the bond between you, as you share a peaceful and healing experience together.

Improving behavior:

Animal Reiki can help to improve behavior in pets who are anxious, fearful, or agitated. It can help them feel more relaxed and centered, which can contribute to better behavior over time.

Supporting end-of-life care:

Animal Reiki can be particularly beneficial for pets who are nearing the end of their life. It can help to ease physical and emotional pain, promote comfort and relaxation, and provide a peaceful and loving environment for the pet to pass away in.

the experience

During an Animal Reiki session, the practitioner places their hands on or near the animal's body and uses reiki to flow healing energy. This can help to reduce stress and anxiety, ease pain and discomfort, and promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

These sessions are house calls {local to ATL}.
Prices may vary depending on your location.

what people n’ pups are saying

My lil boy is OBSESSED with energy healing. When he sees Jessica with her tuning fork, he immediately goes over to her and sets himself up to receive the healing energies. It’s the most adorable thing. After a session, he is calm & peaceful and more willing to hang with everyone.

My dog Shanti {pictured above} is a clear example of an animal that does not “want” to receive Reiki. I have tried to give my little baby reiki since she was a baby but she would move away from me the minute I would start. This past month that changed. Shanti has allowed me to give her Reiki and she is doing so much better! She has CHF and has been hospitalized 2x since March. She has more consistently been stable, her bloodwork and test are more stable and she’s acting like her quirky sarcastic self again. 🥰

It’s important {just as humans} that the animal lead you, as you can never force healing on any animal or human.
